[edit] History

Here is his-story:

Alan Lamb first appeared on the kayaking scene in 1997 at the Trinity River Challenge, an 11.7 mile long marathon kayak race. He first appeared on the Canoe Polo scene in 2000 at the US National Championships as a member of the Texas Tornadoes. In 2001, he returned with the Tornadoes to Nationals. That summer, he joined with the first US National Under 21 team. They went to Canada for the Pan American Championship 2001 and Alan won his first game against a Canadian opponent. In 2002, he went to Canada again with the Texas Tornadoes to the Canadian Nationals 2002 and earned the name Sprinkles. In 2003, he competed in the B division with the Texas Tornadoes B (as well as in the U21 Division) at Nationals and won. The next weekend, he competed with the US Under 21 Men in the 2003 Pan American Championship where they also won. At the 2004 Nationals, he competed with the Texas Tornadoes again, but also joined the Austin Aquabats in the A division. In the Fall of 2004, Alan initiated a kayak polo program at Baylor University that eventually grew into the Baylor Bears Kayak Polo Club. At the 2005 Nationals, Alan competed on 3 teams. In the Open division, he competed on the US National Under 21 Men's Team. In the U21 division, he competed on the Texas Tornadoes. In the A division, he competed on the Austin Aquabats. He missed a few games for the Tornadoes because of this. That wasn't too bad, since the Tornadoes had lots of people who wanted to play. In the fall of 2005, Alan went with the US Under 21 Men to Brazil to compete in the Pan American Championships 2005 where they earned 2nd place.
